Now introducing Mr. Goldhand and Mr. Jenkins, a couple of likely Corpos ready to strike a deal with V
Even with its release mere months away, the world of CD Projekt Red’s newest title, Cyberpunk 2077 , and its inhabitants are still largely unexplored. Today though that curtain was peeled back just the slightest amount, with a look at two new enigmatic characters in the upcoming title.
Revealed through a Tweet from Cyberpunk 2077 ‘s official Twitter account, meet Mr. Gholdhand and Mr. Jenkins, as seen below. I’m not going to tell you which is which, it’s rather self-explanatory. What I will say is that these two new characters carry some serious Corpo – Cyberpunk for corporate – vibes, and you can tell just by looking at them. Corpos in the Cyberpunk universe are simply richer than most, and they display that wealth in whatever way they can. For Mr. Goldhand that comes in the form of… well, you get it, it’s pretty blatant. Mr. Jenkins however is more reserved, although you can still tell he’s richer than the average citizen of Night City by looking at him. Besides the expensive-looking tailored suit, he sports a couple of cranial implants, not exactly easy to come by.
The real question surrounding these two characters is how they’ll end up interacting with V, Cyberpunk 2077 ‘s main character. From the extended gameplay videos shown at past E3 events, we’ve seen that missions involve branching paths with multiple factions, including Corpos. That being said, they’re shrewd businesspeople, concerned only with their own standing in their company and their power. It’s likely that we won’t learn anything else about Mr. Goldhand or Mr. Jenkins ahead of the game’s release unless CD Projekt Red decides to put out more gameplay of Cyberpunk involving them.
Until then, you can check out some gameplay with Cyberpunk 2077 ‘s Corpos from the game’s 2018 E3 presentation down below. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch November 19 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
